Chocolate-Chocolate Chip Nut Muffins- Unknown #114
Chocolate-Chocolate, enough said.
Ingredients:
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1-1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1-1/4 c. milk
- 1 egg
- 2 T. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 c. semisweet chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/3 c. whole almonds
- 4 T. raw sugar to sprinkle on top (can also substitute with regular sugar)
- Preheat oven 350F. Grease muffin cups or line with paper muffin liners.
- In medium bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In large bowl sir in milk, egg oil and vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients to milk mixture; beat well.
- Add chocolate and chips and walnuts, stir well.
- Fill muffin cups 3/4 full.
- Poke almonds into tops of unbaked muffins.
- Sprinkle muffins with sugar.
- Bake 20-25 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
